Final Week

Happy Final Week Wonderful Special Pops Team! This is the final blog for School Year 2022-2023!

End of the year behavior

As we enter the last week of school, classroom staff please be sure to have planned activities for your students. Unstructured time lends to problems. Please do not let students wander the building. We want to finish the year safely and with few incidents. Just a reminder, sending students to the dean's office is for level 5 behavior only. Now is a great time to utilize buddy rooms.

End of the Year Checklist-SPED

Please review the end of the year checklist that I passed out to you. This has all the instructions of what needs to be taken care of before school ends.  Carefully address each item on the checklist and turn it in to me.

Field day

Field day is the last day of school. Please refer to email from Ms. Williams regarding the details about field day.

Good Morning Team and Happy "Next to Last Monday of the School Year!"...I hope you all had a good weekend.  As we wind down this week, there are a few reminders and updates below.

03's/Team Meetings

There are no 03's or Team Meetings scheduled for the remainder of the year.  However, if you need anything please stop by my desk.

Chromebook Collection

Chromebooks, chargers, and cases must remain in classrooms starting Monday, June 6th. Teachers will be collecting each item from every student. They will stay in classrooms for student use until Mr. P. does the final collection on Monday, June 13th. Chromebooks MUST stay in classrooms for the week. They will no longer go home.

Gradebook Closes

Resource Room teachers...please check in to see if your students have any outstanding work and assist them in getting it completed.  Remember gradebook closes on Friday, June 10, 2022.

Report Cards and Sped Progress Reports
These are scheduled to go home next week.  I would advise you to start on them now as Kindergarten and 8th grade finish next Wednesday and parents start to keep students home.  This will assist you in having to mail out documents.

3-5 Field Trip

The 3-5 field trip is all set for Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Students in those grade levels will be out of the building from approximately 10:3-1:00.  They will have a late lunch when they return.

Final Bulletin Board

Please begin decorating your final bulletin boards for the summer. This should will be an attractive board that stays up all summer. Laurus does tours during the summer months so this is very important. Pinterest has lots of great ideas!
